On Veteran difficulty, I found that Tungsten was more than enough and never changed it, even against shielded mobs. But AFAIK, there can only be one ammo power active ever, making multiple ammo powers somewhat redundant.
Added to that, enough squad mates have Overload anyway, making DA even more moot.Īlso been trying soldier on Veteran, using Squad Incendiary Ammo and later Tungsten for personal damage. WA, or really any ammo power, seem to be just fine to take down shields and the time and cool down from switching ammo doesn't really seem worth it. However, the whole process seem rather unnecessary, save for really heavy mechs. The idea was to use DA to wither down their shields and then switch to WA for whatever layer of protection they had next.
I've always piced Squad Disruptor Ammo and Squad Warp on my Infiltrator.
Currently I'm running through Hardcore before doing Insanity (OCD issuse - must play all difficulties, lol). Been dabbling about with ammo powers on my Infiltrators and Soldiers.
